- John_JoeyExplorerI guess they had a pretty wet season in the valley. A person that pulls trailers was telling me that several were stuck in the mud when he went to get them. One triple axle was all the way down to it's axles even. That one was located in San Benito and was under a roof.
A very nice newer 5'ver in the park is now up for sale. Heard through the grape vine that when it was pulled in, it too was covered with black mold on the inside. I doubt that it leaked.
On Edit:
The theory on the bugs is when it rains so hard in the Valley, the bugs seek higher ground. If it is a tire to a trailer, then up they go. Borax is a good way to stop them prior to a population explosion. - pawattExplorerGlad you arrived safely and hope the mold is not too severe so that it can be cleaned up. I was told there was 14 inches of rain here in September or October.
- her_IExplorerWell we arrived at Sun N Fun in San Benito on Tuesday to a couple of surprises. First we had water leakage on bottom of Texas room walls that caused mold on the baseboards and secondly there was mold on all the window frames between the sun covers and the windows. The bugs must have liked the humid condition because there was a big colony of them.
- her_IExplorerPacking today and heading out tomorrow at the break of dawn for San Benito, Texas

Do they look ready? - John_JoeyExplorer

We just got out in the nick of time this year. We're barely in front of that arctic cold dipping down from Canada. Another 500 miles to go, and we'll be able to relax, catch some sun, and have funny sounding drinks. :)
You are almost here!!!
We're here now. Cold and gray, but the RGV (Texas) hospitality sure is warm and welcoming. I almost forgot how nice it was. Sure does make up for a lot of short comings when it comes to weather. - RvingMikeExplorerWe are now in Central Florida, near Disney, and the weather has been great. Got here last week Wed. Went to Epcot for the Wine festival and had a great time. My wife has agreed that we will always leave Wis. sometime in Oct. before it gets too cold. I'll have to work on maybe changing that to late Sept. Anyway, anybody that hasn't left yet, get going.
- Retired_andLoveExplorerI've wanted to head south mid to late October for 5 years. The wife told me last week we would negotiate when we leave. She told a relative today that we would be heading south mid-October next year. I guess we won't have to negotiate now.

Next year when this topic gets started I want to be one of the folks that can post "we have been in our winter location for a month now"!
