- sweetnoniExplorerIf you want to go as far west as Columbia, there is a nice campground to the north a couple of miles right off rt 63. I believe it is called Cottonwoods.

Lazy Days at MM170 is also good.
+1 - caysea7254Explorerallworth I meant right after St. Louis on the west side. Now that I read my post again I can see where I wasn't too plain. We just want to get thru St. Louis and find somewhere for the night. We will be leaving for vacation after work on a Thursday so we could get some hours under our belt. So no more than 5 hour drive. We don't like to drive much after dark! lol Thanks again everyone! Appreciate the suggestions. Tara
- caysea7254Explorerthanks everyone I will check them all out. Tara

- kevinbtiExploreryou will really enjoy 370 park but make res early as it fills quick even with all the sites they have There is also studmeyer, I think that's what is called, just over the bridge in St Charles but a its expensive and b its a parking lot only but there is a nice restaurant on site and its right off the highway Safe travels
- jungshinExplorerGraham Cave State park is at MM 170 on I70, there is a Kan Do campground there also.
Graham cave has electric and dump station amenities, the exit is just before the truck parking area with the giant US flag. - caysea7254ExplorerThanks sdianel & ddndoug! The 370 Lakeside Park looks really nice for a over night. I think this would work great for us because it will be around 8 pm or so that night then will leave a break of dawn! ddndoug that park looks really nice! Its a little too far out of way for us this time cause it will be really late when we arrive and since leaving so early the next morn, we basically just need somewhere to sleep. But sure will keep it in mind on way back home! Thanks appreciate it! :)
- AllworthExplorer IIDid you mean "just West" of STL or "way West" like on the way to Grand Junction?
