OK ................... thanks to everyone (well, almost everyone) who joined in. It was strictly for fun - that was the intention.
Talked this over with Barbara and we came to a conclusion. Sadie dog could care less which one (although she gets the most votes on anything in our household) as long is she is with us and included on nearly all hikes. :-)
We love the National Parks and migrate more to those of God's beauty as opposed to man made historic ones.
And I will not include Rocky Mountain only because we lived in Estes Park for 8 years and it was not truly a favorite from our travels; it was part of our lives - we absolutely loved it; one of the reasons we moved to Estes when I retired.
In our travels we have been to so many National Parks; many far more than once. I do a LOT of photography; thousands of images for my and others enjoyment. And we hike a lot.
We will have to say Glacier and Yellowstone. Glacier for both the hiking and photo work and Yellowstone for the diversity and all kinds of photo work. Hate to say this buy Old Faithful was a ho hum to us compared to all the rest there is there.
Some of my photography from the Grand Canyon all along the South Rim has won awards and also sells - particularly my shots taken the morning at sunrise right after a white out snowstorm the day before.
And I could go on and on with Arches, Capitol Reef (not mentioned much because people are too busy at other places - but one of our very favorites) and on and on. So many beautiful places.
OK, so I am breaking the rules here kinda. :-)
But will basically close this out - others can add to it if they want (or jump all over me for breaking the rules).
Maybe it will be helpful to those in their planning - that was kinda one of the intents.
There are people on here who are very knowledgeable and willing to help. I know people whose advice I can take to the bank and others whose I simply dismiss.
Anyone who wants can contact me by PM or email and I will reply with honesty (if I don't know I will say so) and even tell them who they might contact for more honest info.
We are about home now after out for a little over a month sitting in Indio, CA. Going to stay at Catalina SP north of Tucson for 4 days before heading to our home south of Tucson.
Be safe, stay healthy and enjoy each day to the fullest.
God only knows; God makes His plan and that information is unavailable to the mortal man (Paul Simon in "Slip Slidin' Away").
