- DougEExplorerThere's great food everywhere! Tell us your route.
San Antonio: Little Red Barn (very casual and inexpensive steakhouse) just off I10 East of downtown and south of Alamo Dome. - Iraqvet05ExplorerExactly, Kemahsabe. I grew up in Corpus and really got a taste for good Tex-Mex. When I moved to Kansas City years ago, finding a Mexican restaurant to my liking was difficult. I told my wife it wasn’t Mexican food if the cooks where not Mexican (lol). You can really tell the difference in some of the regional dishes of Mexican food.

People have always told me that Tex-Mex is really different from what we think of as Mexican food.
"Mexican" food varies according to what region of Mexico you're in, just as United States food does. "Tex-Mex" is one of those regional styles, and it's available all over the US. In Texas, a bad Tex-Mex restaurant doesn't last long. Some of the best food you can get comes from the mobile food trucks (aka Roach Coach) you'll find at construction sites, etc., where a lot of Mexicans work. - 1971duster340ExplorerBodacious Bar-B-Que...NE Tx

If you have/use a GPS:
Google "Guy Fieri Diners Drive-ins and Dives POI's" then download them into your GPS. Then wherever you are just see what is near you.
Been doing this for about 3 years and have had good to great meals. Plus, it's a great way to explore a new area. Just remember prior to leaving the RV set the GPS up as your new home location. :) - her_IExplorerTexas Longhorn Co. in San Benito.
