MY answer is "Trees". When I was a Boy Scout we were surrounded by trees.
....but what is your BIGGEST shortcoming at the parks you stay at?
Well as a ham radio operator I like to toss a long wire up in the trees and on the site I'm on now.. That's where it is.. However the park I'm in has a lot of old growth and some trees have had to go. Some were helped along a bit. I recall one windy day when I pulled in and one tree brushed up rather firmly against my RV. I meant to report it as needing trimming when I checked back with my site but forgot. No matter. the tree was down (Flat across the road down).
Another park I was at for an extended visit has no trees in the park. Which was good for the trees outside the park lost a lot of branches which would have done major damage when the Himicane came calling (Matthew)
Another park I stay at half of it has trees. The other half Wi_Fi - jdc1Explorer II

Don't use the "SARDINE " MODEL when designing the location of RV sites. Many RV parks are physically designed based on economic profits V.S. designing the RV parks to maximize the pleasure and enjoyment of RVers.
I hear that!
No way I could stay there for more than overnight. Walmart has better accommodations. LOL - wapiticountryExplorerThings we wish were everywhere:
Paved roads and sites - no dust
Passport America accepted without restrictions
Fire rings and BBQ grills
Large off leash pet area
Long pull thru sites
Wide sites with well manicured lawns
Rental golf carts at big parks
No add on fees for extra people, vehicles, pets, activities, 50amp etc.
Clean laundry with enough machines max price of $1.00 per load. - K_CharlesExplorerWhat I like for one night is not what I like for a weekend. What I like in the spring is not the same as fall. Some times we visit relatives and sometimes we go to the beach, there is no way to pick just one best.

Right now I miss being at a campground, on the way to visit grandkids.
I've seen some good gravel parking designs now and then. - SkyWritingExplorer

I hear that! - BB_TXNomadA well designed, clean, and well managed RV park will be successful whether it is packed side to side or spaced out with a lot of room between sites as long as there is something to attract RVers to that area. That is obvious by the majority of RV parks of both types generally being full or nearly full most all the time. Many don’t care how much room there is as they are rarely outside anyway. They simply want a convenient place to stay to accommodate the reason they are in that area before they move on. That’s what makes it so great. One size does not fit all. Find one that meets your needs and let others do the same for theirs.
Size of sites can be influenced by local land values. Profit is the name of the game. Maximizing RVer comfort at the expense of profit is not generally a good business approach. Meeting the requirements of your target clientele is. - jdc1Explorer IIParks? I like campgrounds......No concrete or asphalt.
