Missing RV Antenna

So I'm looking out our bedroom window at our 2014 Sunset Trail 5th that we park in the back yard, and I'm shocked to see that the roof top antenna is missing. All there is left is the short mast and cables laying on the roof. Haven't a clue when it went missing just noticed it gone after the last trip.

Haven't "low bridged" it in the trees or anything and can't imagine how it fell off other than it was never installed properly and worked itself loose. Sits right in behind the roof A/C unit so it would be hard to catch on anything.

Any who I'd like to replace it in kind so as not to mess around with roof top attachments and resealing, etc.

No where in Canada can I find a replacement for the factory unit. The unit is a DTI CA-2500B and another reason I want to replace in kind it that it is a combo AM/FM/VHF/UHF antenna. Most of what I see available doesn't include AM.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get my hands on this unit, new or even used if it is still functional?

You might try contacting the manufacturer. Here is link to their website: ***Link Removed***

Thanks, I found that listing last week and tried to make contact with a couple of emails with no success on responses.

They appear to be a distributor to retailers and maybe that's why they don't respond.

Thanks, the one on Amazon doesn't ship to Canada and is the 1500 model which doesn't receive AM.

The one on ebay comes up in Spanish so I'll have to see if I can get it translated and make contact although it appears to be a 2015 listing and a closed auction.

    Thanks for the response though.

Were you on a Texas between Surf Side and Galveston this spring?
If so I know where the Antenna pieces are/where.

HaHa, sorry that wasn't me. Never been to Texas with the 5th. Mostly Canadian travel.

  • We have the same one that is the best limb catcher we've owned. At least it brands back easily. Ours is on the list to replace, it isn't a great antenna but I haven't decided which one to go with. The Winegard Raysar Automatic is is likely option as I need something that isn't operated from inside the rig.
