Wow! Great place for a summer home! We were there last summer watching two eagles catch fish. In years prior they closed part of the camp grounds because of the nests. E/W black river is a favorite place but not sure if my 5'er is too big to get in there easily.

There is a next of Egrets just behind my cabin also. The camp grounds your talking about is very full the summer. Also lots of Jets flying over. I haven't driven down to the black in the past 10 years,so I don't know what is new there. There is a neat little camping site just off the hwy. between Alpine and Luna, N.M. Big cottonwood trees, maybe 7000 ft.
