What to see/do & where to stay in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is one of the very few states in which we've not stopped to see any attractions nor have we camped there. DW & I are heading for New England later this season and welcome all suggestion...

This would be me for a week in June each year, including picking up food at Eggy's and eating at the lighthouse. Point Judith from Fisherman's is a nice area for biking too.
