enjoy, r0n.... - xctravelerExplorerWhile you are in Providence do not miss the trip up College Hill to the Brown University Campus. Walk around University Hall built in 1766 (approx) look for the corner on the right when facing it from the Green and you will see where the Red Coats broke out the bricks to stable their horses during the Revolutionary War. School was founded in 1764. Get a local map of Benefit Street to see the homes of some of the famous Rev War era individuals.
Don't miss the River Fire if you can find when it is scheduled - When I was in School at Brown we didn't know there was a river there! it was decked over. - ChooChooMan74ExplorerCampgrounds.
My Favorite, Normandy Farms (http://www.normandyfarms.com/), located in Foxboro (Old English Spelling Foxborough) Ma. Minutes from Gillette Stadium and Patriot's Place. There you have restaurants like CBS Scene and Toby Keith's and lots of shopping options. (http://www.patriot-place.com/) If you want Normandy, Book Yesterday... I mean it.
There is a new place in RI called Ashaway Campground (http://www.ashawayrvresort.com/). 100% 50 amp and FHU. I went there just after they opened and wasn't too impressed. But, I would recommend IF you use your RV Bathroom/shower and just using it as a place to stay, as the sites, to me, were small.
I hear good things about Fisherman's Memorial, but only 30 Amp.
Wawaloam does have 50 amp sites (https://wawaloam.com/). I have not been there. There location seems decent. They do have some weird rules there, like no outdoor rugs bigger than 2'x3'.
Looking through Woodalls, there are other places that I would try, also. - ArchHoaglandExplorer

Local things to try.
As Mentioned, Del's Frozen Lemonade
Coffeemilk (Coffee flavored sweetened syrup in milk)(MY Favorite, Arruda's Dairy Tiverton, RI)
Fall River (MA) style Chow Mein
Portuguese Food SE Mass
Clamcakes
Forgot about that Coffee Milk...we always buy a case of that "Eclipse" syrup while back their too....makes for some good milk at home also! - pigfarmerExplorerWow! I'm starting to get excited about this up and coming trip. Sounds like we can spend some time in RI. Thanks again. Love your suggestions.

OK....guess that's all I got, I was born in RI but have been here in So Cal since I was a "baby"...we never miss these two places on our trips back east! Have Fun! - OutdoorPhotograExplorerMelville Ponds is about 15 minutes from downtown Newport. It's in Middletown, RI. Pretty sure it's full hook ups. I have a PUP so only used the electric. Parking is attrocious in Newport in the summer so be prepared. Do the cliff walk. PIck one mansion. Tours are not cheap. Lot's of history that you can google. JFK and Jackie were married in Newport. I believe they were moving a replica French ship of sail from Revolutionary War to Fort Adams area but I'm not sure.
Good reasonable breakfast at Blue Plate Diner on West Main. - pigfarmerExplorergood ideas, y'all. Keep 'em coming. Choo Choo Man, I copied and pasted yours. Captain's Daughter brew looks interesting. Thanks. Campgrounds too with full hookups and 50 amp if possible.
