What to see/do & where to stay in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is one of the very few states in which we've not stopped to see any attractions nor have we camped there. DW & I are heading for New England later this season and welcome all suggestion...

It is IGGY'S Doughboys & Chowder House in Point Judith. Link I prefer the clam cakes from Aunt Carrie's but their clam chowder in not that good. Be aware that RI clam cakes are nothing like Maine clam cakes that are mostly clams.

The "summer cotages" of the rich in Newport are impressive, to say the least. Cliff walk in Newport will give you a fantastic view of the ocean AND the back side of many of those "summer cotages".
