Where can we camp to hear wolves?
Coyotes are everywhere -- even in suburban Orange County. But I have never heard a wolf howling (except on Youtube). Where are we most likely to hear wolves? My guess is somewhere in Yellowstone, b...

Uh, trackrig, did you look at the unit in profdant's signature? He can portage it across any river, just like taking a canoe across land! ;)
I was measuring a marathon race course near a wildlife sanctuary NE of Denver, and the wolves started howling. That is not a sound I expect to hear around Denver, that's for sure! Great to hear them, even though they are in captivity. Still, a bit disconcerting while riding my bike. They could have caught me, no problem (had they gotten out)!
