- profdant139Explorer IIDave, after that trek across Europe, I am amazed that you folks still had the energy to hit the road!!
I have never heard birds breathing -- that must be some deep silence! But the other day, we were surfing in Huntington Beach. There was a quiet interlude between waves -- no wind at all. Someone sneezed behind me. I said, "Bless you!," and turned around, and there was a dolphin, about 30 feet away. But a dolphin's breath is a lot louder than a loon's, I would guess. - crosscheckExplorer IISpent the Thanksgiving weekend hiking in Glacier NP and Mt. Revelstoke NP. Out of the 3 days, had only one day of sun for good pictures.

This is our last night boondocking(Oct. 13) on Revelstoke Lake.
No one around for miles and bush road to the site is pretty narrow.
Only room for one TC. It was so quiet, you could hear the Loons breath. No need for A/C here.
Dave - SalvoExplorerGreat boondocking everyone. I love it!
Viewing the mud photos brings back memories of an experience in Baja this past spring. There had been heavy rain the previous day. We were on a dirt road leading to a great boondocking beach when the road turned very muddy and fully covered in water. It was an oh-chit moment. No place to turn around. I did not dare to stop. Muddy water was spraying over the hood while the MH was fishtailing through the water filled dirt road. The MH was a muddy mess. A few days later the boarder patrol wouldn't let me back into the US. I spent a couple hours chipping mud off. Later back home I got an additional 4 full buckets of mud off. A portion of my backyard is now called Baja.
Here's my front window view while staying at the Gorge this summer. Windsurfing right out the door! That's Mt Hood back there.
This one isn't current, but I like it. It's close to Yuma.
Sal - CamorhinoExplorerThat's a nice sized privvy.......;-) I miss my smaller trailers all! My smallest one is 26' now, and when traveling by my self, it is what I take. When everyone else goes, the world expands to 38'. Funny how my dogs need so much more room. :)
- profdant139Explorer III do get that question from time to time! And I always say "it used to be a 5th wheel, before the plastic surgery."
- VeebyesExplorer IIJust have to ask....what happened to the rest of your trailer? I'm sure you get asked that one often.
- profdant139Explorer IIHere is our Halloween campsite in Sequoia National Forest, south of Grant Grove:
And this is the view of the Great Western Divide, to our south:
- garyhauptExplorerDecided to take off for the long weekend, we were off to Prince Rupert on Saturday night then off to the Exstew River Rec site.
Our overnight spot in Prince Rupert is the up side of the Wal-Mart lot.
Our morning view...
Off to the Exstew River for Sunday night..clear skies and temp dropped to minus 3.

The pix will be up on my Blog Tuesday morning if you want to see more.
Gary Haupt - profdant139Explorer III'll agree with Camo -- in the evening, the air is usually a little dusty and the light is sort of red. The mornings are clearer in that area. Nina, you have to provide us with a definitive answer!

Gary,
I'll bite. How'd you know that wasn't sunset?
(After all, with Eastern Sierra mountains in the back ... doesn't that mean those mountains in the back were kindof West of the campsite ... where the sun sets?)
I'd bet a coffee and some frybread it's a sunrise. It has that 'cold' look to it. Usually that first light is clean. Sunset is warmer and has a softer look.
Now watch me get told.....hahahahaha.....oh well, there's an app for that.
