This past weekend, a long one in BC, we got out of Dodge on Saturday morning and after getting north of Terrace, BC, the traffic thinned out and it becamae nice drive. Headed north up the Nisga Highway, 113, going to the northern end, Gingolx, thru the Nass Valley and following the Nass River to the ocean.Had two great nights..First one on the Lava Beds. Found a side road with a good spot. These can be a `fined` in the Nisga Lands.Second was right on the Nass River...a fishing spot that allowed for one vehicle.Gary Haupt

Hey, 2oldman!Was that in the reserve, or in the ORV area closer to the Moses Lake direction end of the reservoir?As for me, my latest boondockers were:Two weeks in the Sinlahekin Valley northeast of Omak, Washington and several shorter trips to the Olympic National Forest (east side/Hamma Hamma river area).

Allegheny National Forest, Red Mill dispersed camping area along a trout stream; closest town, Ridgeway, PA.; no facilities. 5 days/4nights of solitude and natural ambiance, ie. peace, quiet, and R&R.:)

I'm going with the mountains aren't angular enough to be the Sierra's to the west, so they must be the White's or to the east. The angle of the shadows with the sun lower on the horizon now, I'm going with 0715 in the morning, maybe 0720 at the earliest......;) just kidding.

I'll bite. How'd you know that wasn't sunset?

(After all, with Eastern Sierra mountains in the back ... doesn't that mean those mountains in the back were kindof West of the campsite ... where the sun sets?)

Just catching up on all the boondocking shots. Fabulous!

We just finished 3 weeks of boondocking in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. Love this place! We had a few nights of crazy cold and freeze (11 degrees) in Mammoth Lakes, but otherwise pretty good weather. Our last week was spent in Lone Pine in the Alabama Hills...an old-time favorite of ours. Here's our spot:

Sometimes dry camping sites are not all that scenic but that does not mean that a good time cannot be had.

Last weekend it was dry camping at a bluegrass festival in Georgia. The weekend before was dry camping at the Atlanta Speedway Good Sam Rally. Thinking of dry camping again this weekend for the Punkin Chunkin in Delaware.
