- NinerBikesExplorerMeh, probably a pileup starting gradually to show up in Quartzsite, is my guess, if fuel stays cheap.
- JiminDenverExplorer III haven't posted since injury kept us from boondocking this year. Soon however I will have plenty as I hit the road full time in a month.
Almost all of the forums I visit have similar threads on them. Where is everyone. I have heard more than once that people are going to facebook while the regular posters dwindle over time. As far as the cranky posters, there just isn't much value in what they post. - garyhauptExplorerYup...There are a few posters that once they chime in, I bail from that thread. They can be nasty, although some folks really enjoy reading someone else getting beat on..it just frustrates me no end.
Gary Haupt - vermilyeExplorerWell, I can't call it boondocking, but I just spent the last two days dry camping in the parking lot at Matagorda Bay Nature Park. I moved into the campground today for a fiberglass trailer rally this week, then will be heading to Big Bend & on to Quartzsite.
Temperature here has been in the 80's during the day and only down to the high 60's at night. Lots of wind, but they keep the mosquitos away! - EsoxLuciusExplorerBoondocking?
- Jayco-noslideExplorerI think a "thin skinned" poster could be driven away. I've noticed that if a poster asks a "private" question or gives any hint of criticism of another's post, people can get angry and critical quickly. It seems to me we should feel pretty free with opinions but doesn't always work that way. Seems to be a "mind your own business" mentality. Not saying that's good or bad but it can discourage posting.
- BoonHaulerExplorerI was hoping to be south by now but still tied up in the north.... =(
Hope to see you guys in Q in February....=) - Rovin__BonesExplorer

One overriding condition I have noticed with my few forums is how a belligerent few know it alls can cause people to be unwilling to join in on conversations. A subtle way to respond to snarky talk on the TC forum is to not respond to that person at all. It works.

The best way to handle it, IMO, and preserve the life of a message board is to remove the chronic offenders entirely. Meaning those who habitually engage in ad hominem attacks, belittling of members, and generally non-productive anti-social behaviors.
To answer the question of this thread's topic. I'm still in Minnesota, still working a contract to hire job as long as it lasts and the money keeps rolling in. :B - tuna_fisherExplorerWell that gave me something to read here. Thanks Jefe for your insight. Hugemoth, I'll see you soon. The social media folks don't have anything of intrest reguarding boondocking that I want to read. I guess I'll have to go somewhere so I'll have a tail to tell here...
- hugemothExplorerI think it'll pick up after Thanksgiving when more folks can escape cold and family obligations to head south. Nothing new down here in Quartzsite. Caught 3 large mice in the camper last night. Put them out by the fire ring where they were eaten by a dog from a nearby camp. Mmmmmm, crunchy!
