Interesting in getting into this kind of lifestyle.

What is your own top tip for a newbie?

  • look at many different rv's, and sizes. You will probably become more aware of what you really want as you travel, so it might be good to buy a late model used one. At one point I bought a trailer from a private party who saw me as someone he could take advantage of. It was an expensive lessen, so take your time picking one out.
  • Best tip would be make sure your Air Conditioner is in good working order!

  • If you think you'll be able to just go to a great state park on a whim, you can't. The good state parks fill up past and early. Some are full a year in advance.
  • Try to buy slightly used-a year old? All new Rv's have problems, which can be time consuming, sometimes expensive and frustrating. A slightly used RV's should have most of the problems ironed out and hopefully still under warranty if something does pop up.
  • Don't buy an RV unless your willing to work on it as far as maintaining the exterior and troubleshooting the system problems that will arise.
