Howdy

Howdy, from a new guy. I was with Good Sam years ago. And have had a Van, Class A, Class C and have decided my next camper will be a Alaskan Camper (used). When I find one you will be receiving pictures of my new toy and posts every time I change a light bulb. Yes, I'm one of those guys.

I do a lot of boondocking in my truck (Dodge 3500 dually) but am getting to the age more comfort would be nice.

It may be sometime before I find one. I am in the south east and try not to go past Texas so not to cross the Brazos in remembrance of my Grandfather . Alaskans are few and far between here.

My Grandfather was fond of using the old saying “there is no law west of the Mississippi and no God west of the Brazos”. Then he would laugh till his sides hurt. He lived in New Mexico his entire life. Strange old guy but I miss him.

Until I find my new toy I will just lurk and dream of better days to come.

Good roads to all.
  • Welcome. Finding a used Alaskan truck camper will be very tough. Good luck with your search.
  • Welcome! Will look forward to your posts when you find your Alaskan.
  • I'll try to post this again. Unless you are dead set on an Alaskan, there is a nice Avion in Cleveland GA. Last I heard seller was firm on $5K. If you are interested I will try to get you a contact number. Happy hunting.
  • Still looking. Thanks for all the good thoughts. Yes, I am set on ab Alaskan. I spent the better part of 3 years researching and for me it came out an Alaskan.

    Thanks
  • Hi Rockwell,

if Sioux City is not too far:

My plan was to take it to Germany but things change....
it is still sitting in the owners garage, waiting for you ;)
  • Thanks manfred65

No that's not too far and that sure is a pretty 2010. But My budget only goes up to the early/mid 90's. I would like a 10ft CO as that is. Hope it finds a nice home.

For the record guys my perfect find would be a early/mid 90's (budget) 10ft CO Alaskan. And for the right find I will go anywhere in the lower 48.

I was encouraged into taking early retirement and I find available funds are shorter than I planned but time is long. Looking forward to starting the last phase of my life. I plan on it being one heck of an adventure.

    Good roads to all
