All good information. I'll add that Bakersfield has a number of good parks, but they are closer to 99. I'm going to add a few things for the benefit of others that might be reading. We usually stay at Bakersfield RV because the restaurant on site is quite good. Orange Grove RV is east on 58. We usually are going over Tehachapi so if a meal in the RV is preferred, we'll stay there. River Run RV has a Stuart Andrson's close enough to walk. Sometimes that's what we do, but they do have some side by side hookups, which I avoid. If going to BRV from the north, you will be making a right turn as part of the off ramp, then another right thru the light, than an immediate left. Lots of traffic lanes involved. Be aware of that and just take your time and look at the signs on the road. Coming from the south, I would use the same off ramp as coming the north. I would not try to make the left into the park. Gas. The Costco gas station on Panama is rarely busy. When heading south, we fill up at Costco Woodland also. Another atypically uncrowded station.
