Which campground in Redwoods National & State Parks?

We are planning a 4 day visit to this area and are seeking suggestions on which campground would be a good choice for exploring the area, and why that particular location is best. Ideally, we would like to stay put in ONE place without having to move during our brief stay. We have a 27 ft. Travel Trailer. Thanks in advance for any input!
  • The state parks are great but without hookups. Jedediah state park in the north, Prairie Creek centrally located and Humboldt Redwoods to the south.
  • In the past we have stayed in the campground at Prairie Creek State Park. We are a little too big for the sites now, but you should be fine. No hookups, but a great campground.
  • OK, it's not a State Park campground. We recently enjoyed our stay at Benbow Valley KOA. It used to be Benbow Valley RV Resort and recently went KOA. Lovely, centrally located campground with full amenities. Just north of Willits in Gerberville it is central to the Redwoods. There is an adjoining golf course, if your into that, and across the way, a short walk, is the historic Benbow Valley Inn with an excellent restaurant.
    Enjoy and Happy Trails
