rv parks near Redwood National Park

Looking for recommendations for Rv Parks near Redwood National Park. Want to go in late August. We are 40' and pull a 18' trailer with our car in it. Prefer a pull thru where we could leave trailer connected but not a necessity. Elbow room and a nice clean park are. Any price range.
Thanks in advance
  • Thanks for the recommendations. I'll phone around tomorrow to see about availability
  • heading to the Benbow KOA end of July ourself. First time for us. Crescent City after that, at Redwoods RV Resort I believe.
  • We enjoyed Benbow Valley KOA near Garberville. Lovely park with adjoining golf course (we don't golf) excellent restaurant at the Benbow Inn a short walk, and a good base camp for the Redwoods.
    Enjoy

When visiting the Redwoods we always stay at Ancient Redwoods RV Park. It right on the Avenue of the Giants, North End. Easy access in and out. Pull thru spaces and quiet at night. Very friendly managers and the place is spotless. $$ is reasonable. Their pull thrus should accommodate your rig with no problems. Just be sure to tell them what you want when you call. They have some smaller sites and you want no surprises when you arrive...Plan on using your car to cruise the Ave or the Redwoods. Lots of easy walking trails all up and down the road....Dennis
