Calling for snow this weekend in Delaware! Think I will wait a week or two and then SLOWLY wander north. Currently in Brooksville, Florida.
Yup, I got in a hurry and paid the price. If I would have left TexOhoma two days sooner, I might have been able to thread the needle. Instead, winter storm Selene put up a huge wall between me and home. We have a rule never to get back before April 15'th, but I got homesick this year.
For those that like to stay south till late (and then poke fun at mobile RV'ers for their slow migration) then sprint north in a car staying in hotels for 2-5 nights , this is what you're missing.
No bugs, no matting 'gators, no snakes, no cockroaches, no AC to stay comfortable, 70's during the day, with 50's during the night, and clean smelling air with the scent of blooms. Just your wonderful simple springtime weather with robins looking for lunch.
