I'm honestly glad so many people went and enjoyed themselves :).
I agree with those who've implied that it's the trip there and back, more than the destination, that is cool.
As for the point of the question: I really truly wanted to know. It seems strange to me that such an obscure and, to me, unexciting, place has made it onto so many bucket lists. It's like Wall Drug, y'know? Which I have not been to -- but it also seems like a weird place to set as a goal.
I guess I should just be glad that my favorite nearby lakes remain unknown :D.
