Wichita Falls Tx

Going to be going to Dallas via WF,found a park called Coyote Resort.Souds good but a few of the reviews complain about the loudness of the nearby railroad track. The internet wasn't very helpful, need other ideas of RV parks in WF.Just gonna spend night and move on to DRIVESHAFT KING in Dallas.Require a pull through.
  • Pass thru there often but have never stopped there as it is only 2-3 hours from home.
But rvparkreviews.com shows 4 different rv parks there, all with decent reviews. Shows that all have 50 amp and pull thrus, but two do not have sewer hookups.
There are also one or two between WF and Decatur but I don't remember the exact towns.
  • Stayed there back in May for an overnight. Wasn't bad, a concrete resort. Never heard any trains when I was there. I would stay again if passing through.
  • We live three blocks from the train tracks in town. It would make me feel like I'm at home. ha!
  • The other park with full hookups is an older park and the prices are way too high in my opinion for what you get. The state park is way out of town and the other city park is right on the hwy with lots of hwy noise. Even with the train I would go for Coyote Ranch for the night.
  • We have stayed at the Old Cotton Gin RV Park in Goodlett, Tx. just outside of WF. Long, level, pull thrus. Even has complimentary breakfast in the mornings. W enjoyed the park.
  • We also stayed one night at Coyote, did not hear any trains.Fine place for a overnight stop. Wichita River Bend is right on the highway and the highway noise is real bad.

Right at the end of I-44, Texas Welcome Center exit and keep going south on access road. Electric, water hookups, dump station, patrolled often by police. Small fee and a stay limit, been a while since I stayed there, kids moved on from Sheppard a few years ago.

I hear mention of trains. WF is a major rail junction at a river crossing, there is a lot of traffic. Area is open and flat, you'll hear trains anywhere in the area, unless there is something noisier closer. You'll also hear a lot of noisy military planes, it is an advanced flight training center for USAF and a lot of allies, T-38s mostly, not as noisy as Falcons and Eagles but they can still rattle your windows. Trains don't do that.
