The environment is changing for sure. I lived in Central WA for many years in my youth and we never had smoke problems. Moved back a few years ago, but every year for the last 5 we got choked with smoke. Finally gave up and sold the house.

What I don't understand is, with all the technology we have, how do these fires get so big and out of control in the first place?
