In line with my earlier posted opinion on this subject, IMHO it's way more efficient to reduce the starting of forest fires by humans than it is to manage the forests.

After all, if managing the forests was how to have good forests ... then how would so many of the Native Americans been able to hunt in, live in, and otherwise enjoy the great forests that used to be in North America before it became over run with people?
