Woods Canyon Lake, AZ campgrounds

Question

Does anyone have any experience with any of the RV parks / campgrounds in the area surrounding Woods Canyon Lake near Payson, Arizona? I have a 35 foot motorhome and am wondering if I am too big for any of the campgrounds. Thanks.

There are campsites at the campground that can accomodate rigs up to 45ft.

There are some great boondocking sites across the highway.  If interested, drop me a PM and I'll send you some tips on where to camp. I haven't stayed in the campgrounds, so I can't help you there.

Canyon Point. They have electric sites but you will have to reserve them 6 months in advance.

I second Canyon Point but never had to reserve 6 months out. Just be careful of all the skunks.
