- katlemanExplorerHave been going up Mother's day weekend for the past 10 years.
Its a perfect time to go, wet or dry years, for thr falls.
Most years Glacier Point isn't open yet, but this year it might be.

Yosemite Falls - CManleyExplorerLooking good now, with limited snow fall this year they will not last too long.
Yosemite Falls via Yosemite Conservancy Webcam - Gonzo42ExplorerIf you really liked parapradoskian, you should educate yourself about the differences between a pun, a double entendre, a spoonerism, and a malaprop.
I'll be here all week. Try the veal. - Gonzo42ExplorerYes the falls are good. I will post trip report later. Hiked up the Vernal Fall, and hiked the Mirror Lake trail. We got snowed in and had to leave, but there were plenty of open camping slots, so you could go now even without a reservation and get a spot.
They say it gets colder in the Park than it does in the Winter. - profdant139Explorer IIShould get some rain and snow over the next week -- the falls are going to be pretty good, I think, despite the drought.
And Gonzo, thanks to you, I have just learned a new word: "paraprosdokian." It looks like an Armenian word, but it's Greek! The definition on Wikipedia is a little hard to follow, but I think it means "humor with a twist at the end." - Gonzo42ExplorerIts a paraproskian already.

If you are looking for a campsite, better get busy. Most if not all are gone by now for May.
Things are more like they are now than they've ever been.
I know that there is little hope for a campsite in the valley, but my plans are to "ifish" now to make reservations.
I did not understand your last sentence. . . . . :@ - Gonzo42ExplorerIf you are looking for a campsite, better get busy. Most if not all are gone by now for May.
Things are more like they are now than they've ever been. - TOOBOLDExplorerWe were in Yosemite last year in the first week of May and the waterfalls were flowing. Probably the best time since it has been an exceptionally dry year.
