Hey Andrea, when you think of desert, dont hink of just blowing sand. There is quite a bit of scrub brush covereing the ground, and most of the roads (if you want to call them that) are two track but pretty solid.
It's hard to get lost, and even our Streetpilot still tells us which way to go to get back to a main road if we type something in. We have tried it a few times just to see what it would do.
No worries, and once you camp out there a few times, it'll be hard to go back to camping in a regualr campground ever again.
