moving right along on the Mojave Road, 3/13:

Moving right along, albeit a little slower (130:1 final drive in lo/lo) in the Little Sluice, the Rubicon;

Not moving right along on Sledgehammer, The Hammers, California:

The wagon road up the west side of Imogene Pass, San Juans, CO.

boondock camp in S.E. Oregon:

The road up to Engineer Pass, CO. We camped at the pass in our truck campers.

On the White Rim trail, nr. Moab UT. We just cleared:

lonely camp in a gravel pit so. of Coldfoot, AK. The Brooks range in the background: It's 11:45 P.M. when this shot was taken (June 20th) We drank margaritas until the sun went down, which it didn't;

and finally, the MOST remote boondocking place I've ever been: in the middle of the Visciano Desert, Baja, Sept. 1976 in my old FJ55 and broken trailer springs. One of the driest places on the planet. Nothing grow more than a few inches from the ground.
