Yuma Sunridge RV Park

Very much looking forward getting back to Yuma again this winter after going to Florida last winter. We visited Sunridge two seasons ago and were very impressed. Unfortunately due to shoulder surgery I wont be able to drive the moho until end of December. We expect to be in Yuma on Dec 30th and stay until mid April.
Sunridge has a first come first served policy if coming that late.
Anybody care to comment on what our chances are?
ps. We need space for 2 rigs.

  • We are in a sister park, Western Sands for our 12th season, across the street from Sun Ridge. I certainly wouldn't like the chances. This past season Sun Ridge seemed to fill up quicker (November) and started to empty out later than usual. And of course every year there are more park models added. I walk thru there just about every morning. The four parks Western Sands, Adobe, Sunset Palms and Sun Ridge have no problem filling up driven by rent price. Sun Ridge being the highest because of the pool. But you never know! PM me if you have questions.
  • Looked like a lot of open spaces last season most every where. Many folks take off elsewhere for the holidays too. I think you'll be fine.
  • Oh boy. You might check out the Palms. Like I said, lots of Canadians there. Outstanding facilities and activities.

BTW, about three years ago I guy I met here on the Forum - lives in Castlegar - talked me into getting over to Kootenay Lake. We did. Stayed at a place about 10 miles north of Kaslo. It was soooooo beautiful. We did stop at Christina on the way back - BIG mistake.

But we love BC and have spent lots of time there up in Banff / Lake Louise area (yeh, I know it is Alberta! :-) ) but out by Revelstoke and all around BC.
  • For how long?

    Could be iffy, at best.

Otherwise try the Palms; they have some specials going usually. December 2012 we got a $175 / week rate; it bumped up just a little for January but not bad. We were in the section that was limited to 2 weeks but they have lots of Canadians who are there all winter. And a VERY nice place. Best we have seen in Yuma.
