The ladder I posted is not the less expensive home telescoping ladder. Those tend to weight about 22 pounds and aren't as stiff and strong. The ladder on sale at Target is the type 1A commercial grade ladder that weights 36 pounds and has far better reviews.
You can find 12.5 foot ladders cheaper that may work very well for you, but I searched a long time for the best price on the commercial grade model that I expect to last for decades.
