If the current A/C came with the trailer (2006) I seriously doubt it is running at full efficiency. Beyond that the newer A/C's of the same size are typically going to be more efficient. Before messing with the electrical supply I would be thinking about getting a new 15K A/C. The higher capacity, more efficient newer model may be all you need.
This and the prior response are the push/pull in my head right now. I just don't want to replace the existing unit only to be able to achieve 84 degrees instead of 89 degree inside temps. I was hoping to get a couple "I have done it and it worked awesome" responses
