  • yes im plugged into 50 AMP, It finally started to cool down after about an hour, im guessing due to me not using it for a year it just took it's time getting up to speed, kinda weird but hey it works now, LOL. Thanks everyone.
  • I doubt the thermostat has anything to do with it, unless it's a heat pump, which I doubt. Standard thermostats generally only provide a signal to run the AC, or run heat. There are usually only four wires. No separate signal to run fan without compressor in the AC mode.

Good point above about sufficient power to start the compressor, both voltage and amperage. Could be a bad compressor. Or fuse in the AC unit. Or wiring. Or any number of things.
  • Are you plugged in to a circuit with enough juice to start up and run the A/C?
  • yeah already replaced the battries, that was my first thing, I may want to try a different set thou, Thanks.
  • Does the thermostat run on a battery? Replace it and see what happens.
