Added 1 shelf and doubled our kitchen storage
I just added shelving to the cabinet above our sink since it was turning into a complete mess. The cabinet is fairly large, but without a way to organize things we just piled junk in there. Our goal was to add a shelf that was inexpensive, matched the existing cabinets, and included a lip to prevent things from sliding off. We ended up spending about $20 on a sheet of 1/2" plywood and a 1"x2" while had paint, glue, caulk, and paneling adhesive laying around that we were able to use for the project. I ended up with one long shelf on the top with a 1" lip and the bottom shelf is divided 50/50.

Here's a quick video showing how I built the shelf.
