added A/C and permanent toilet Aliner Cabin A

I bought a 2008 Aliner Cabin A1 and needed an A/C and a permanent toilet. This is a 15 ft. ( 11 ft box) so I had to be creative. There's just 2 of us and we needed a flush toilet and holding tank so we don't need to walk to the facilities at 3 am to pee.

The pictures are pretty self explanatory. It should be noted that with a lightweight trailer made with aluminum/laminated walls it is necessary to install the A/C with "clamp" framing to support the weight. also a separate breaker was installed and an under-sink electric water heater. It worked out well. The holding tank is a Ronco 9 gal.with valterra dump valve. The permanent toilet is Thetford Aqua V.
  • Sounds like a great upgrade. Would like to see pics, but they are not working.
  • I think you need something to support the back of the AC while your going down the road.
  • You may be right about the support. So far it has been fine. The clamp system seems to keep the vertical strength of the wall intact.
    Thanks for the input though.
  • You can find some pretty nice looking shelf brackets at home depot that are painted white and wouldn't show much. In fact maybe one is all you need.
    Here's a suggestion: Link

BTW, Nice work on the tank!

Thanks for the input. I think I will add at least one 45 Deg. Bracket. A little added insurance is always good.

    Thanks for your help!
  • Nice use of the space for the new toilet. Agree about
adding support for the ac unit. You did a great job on this!
    Thanks for sharing your photos.
