Any special precautions when mounting to edpm roof?

Can you simply drill into an edpm roof or should any precautions be taken? Will the rubber twist on the drill? Getting ready to put I well nuts which will hold my solar panels in place. using 1/4-2...

i anchored mine directly with screws

but since your going for a bigger hole

you might want to try a hollow cutter
a piece of stainless tubing the correct size, sharpened from the inside edge out
it other words a a round razor turning in your drill driver
cut the rubber not the under layment
then use a conventional bit to drill the hole
this way you don't run the risk of twisting the epdm roof material
