Anyone add a gaurd onto thier Travel'r awning?

We have 2 of the Carefree of Colorado Travel'r awnings and want to add a guard. They offer 2 aluminum type - Uniguard and alumaguard.. and they also offer a cheaper FLXguard.. Has anyone added any...

I got the PVC TUBE type where you put them over the retracted awning. Cuts down on sun exposure and protects the fabric from any debris. Water still gets into the rolled up fabric.
