After reading the responses I think the route will be as follows:
Clear filter casing Culligan HR-360-A Sediment Filter with clear case.
Spare Cartridges – Culligan P5-D 5 micron Cartridge interchangeable if needed with finer control.
Quick Disconnect – Camco 20135 Brass Quick Disconnect 5/8" to minimize flow restrictions
We will not be taking this trip until early 2015 so all parts will be tested this year with the 12 different campgrounds we have reserved.
Thanks all for the help and comments. It seems that there are no REAL bad areas of the country to watch out for but problems can always pop up in ANY are of our great country.
