Build own automatic leveling System

Here is one such system.
I do not have any such system on my trailer but know many folks that have motorhomes which often use them or others like these. Cant remember the actual brands right now though. All of them had one motor and then used hydraulic lines to the four corners where the actual jacks were located. If I find the common ones used here I will edit this to put in links.

I see there is at least one electic leveling system there. It may be somewhat like you are thinking of making,although all the electric ones I have seen were for stabilization only and not leveling.

thanks BarneyS, i am just doing it because i like to build my own things. i have selfdesigned rc aircraft, roboters, electric lambodoors etc...

i am not familiar with the hydraulic systems (i am from europe). are they driven by just one central hydraulik motor or does the jacks have their own motors on every jack? if it's the second case it would be good to know the worst case Amps...

I doubt very much that you could build a system using that pictured component or a tongue jack system. Too much weight to lift in my opinion. That type of component is used for stabilization and not for leveling.

Why are you trying to re-invent the wheel? There are several hydraulic systems and even possibly electric systems out there now. Are you trying to do it cheaper?
Not being critical but just curious.

If this is still to less information, consider a worst case. And therefore a very heavy vehicle such as a class A motorhome

is 40amps per jack enought? That would be 480Watts...should be ok right?

It depends a lot on how much weight you need to pick up. Do you have landing gear or a electric tongue jack that you can look at to get an idea?
