Building a deck out of logs

My trailer is parked at campground. I want to build a deck and eventually enclose it in. I can make it 8 feet wide and as long as the trailer is.

I have access to about 8 pickup truck loads of wood. Realistically, Could I build a deck/enclosed room with logs?

Anyone ever done this? Anyone able to help me figure out how to do this?

  • I think the deck should be made out of pressure treated lumber or deck boards. If you use PT lumber do not leave a gap when screwed down, as the decking will shrink and leave a gap, if you do leave a gap it will entirely too wide when the boards shrink. Above ground probably does not need to be treated if painted, or stained..
