byrdr1 There was a thick shelf over the bed before. I didn't go any deeper to avoid the head knocks, but I did run my doors up to 1/4" from the ceiling, and when open, the doors clear the window valances by about 1/4".
I wanted as much storage space as I could get, without cutting into my door swing.
