Change color of window frames???

HI I would love to powdercoat! I don't have an oven big enough though. I used the Lowes house brand rattle can. It is Valspar Flat Riviera Dune with a layer of clear added. I could not find any "off white" glossy spray paint at Lowes or the Home Despot. Everything glossy is either Stark White or Almond so I went with a flat and sprayed clear last. Looks good. Flat paint will mildew in the south. Must be sealed. Left it in the sun to bake for a couple of days and here is the finished product. It is still a little wet. 90% humidity is a problem here. I'd like to let it sit for a week but bugs get in with the hole in the wall of the RV so I'll install it ASAP.

Don't know if you could do it or not...but powder coating is almost indestructible. It comes in lots of colors. BUT, it coats thicker than paint, so you would have to be sure the slider had enough clearance to slide. It is not much costlier than rattle can paint and you do not have to worry about it scratching off so easily.

Ain't it the truth! UPS comes here almost every day now because I get everything from blur to glass for the RV from them. The best part it that since I have Prime and most chipping is free and 2 days I have the equivalent of a UPS daily pick up which is great because the stuff I sell and ship for my own business gets picked up free every time the UPS man delivers. It saves me a bundle!
I have been looking at the new coaches and trailers at the dealers just to see how they did it and the dealer pointed out to me than most of the new ones come with light colored window frames and black rubber holding the glass. He tells me I don;t wand light color sealing rubber became here in the armpit of America it will get dark mildew in weeks. He says paint the frames to match the coach and leave the rubber black and I will have that 2014 look. I bought some liquid sandpaper (Amazon) because it will be easier to get into the creases to prepare for sanding.

Look on Amazon. I'm amazed at everything they have on there. I have bought so much from them in the process of fixing mine up. Pretty darn good prices too considering what they could be asking for obsolete items you can find anymore.

I don't think you can do anything about the rubber. But a light sanding with 400 grit wet-or-dry sand paper and a coat of rattle can Satin Black will make them look like brand new. I would be reluctant to change the color.
