Gone with the Wynns Composting Toilet
Wynns Composting Toilet Install - Steve_S1ExplorerThat's a pretty simple install, but does he post a video a month later?
- dave17352ExplorerThat's not my cup of pee lol
- buta4ExplorerHi,
Be aware that the colder it is, the less composting occurs. very cold weather - wait until spring! - Steve_S1ExplorerYes but it'll be inside in the heat. I'll be living in the trailer year round.
- John_JoeyExplorerA neighbor had one in his cabin, said it worked OK for pee, but all he got was hot poop. He replaced it with a septic system.
- Dog_FolksExplorerBased upon my limited experience with them, I would worry about odor.
- Steve_S1ExplorerYes but they're vented and have a fan.
There's one made in Sweden and they claim they've made one that has no smell and the company has been around for decades.
I'm trying to avoid a septic system if possible. - Francesca_KnowlExplorerI always wonder what folks actually do with the "end product" of this kind of system. True composting- that is, total breakdown/pathogen kill/transformation to "dirt"- takes time more than anything else....does one store the "stuff" somewhere until that stage is reached and then just toss it in the garden, or what???
