Well, unfortunately I am just out of time with my assignment starting. I do love all these do it yourself things. I fashioned a gate opener out of a garage door opener that is vastly better than any gate opener I can afford. Getting ready to
build a mostly automated greenhouse.
I finally threw in the towel. I'm renting a room from Craigslist (this is what I typically do) and punting, because it's just going to be more work than I can do to start this project and a new assignment at the same time. The RV parks where I'm going are pretty full on the monthly spaces, so it's going to be too hard to find a spot. But I'll be back with pics in the next few months. Particularly, I'm hoping to get it rigged for boondocking. I am figuring 300/400 watts of solar power will enable me to pretty much do everything except air conditioning, which will have to be done with the generator.
AC remains the bugaboo, and I am working on a way to quiet my generator to a truly acceptable noise level. If I can do that, my problems are solved.. at least until they come up with a better solar solution for AC. Fortunately, I've got quite a bit of sound experience. The goal is to turn the noise the generator makes into heat energy. I've got a design in mind.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions! Much appreciated.
