delamination

i need to remove the rear of my ace 30.2. the rear is delaminating from the "plywood" and fiberglass. fiberglass is in good repair. so i am assuming i can reuse it if i can get it off in one piece? if i do what type of "plywood" is used in the inside and outside rear wall? also is there a store that would sell something similar to the inside material ( looks like cloth wallpaper) that is on the inside rear wall? lastly what type of adhesive holds the fiberglass to the "plywood"?

  • You might be Tim af, but this procedure you’re contemplating sounds like it’s a couple steps beyond your level of understanding.
ICBW, but give some thought to it before ripping the back of the camper off.
Especially since you have no mention about the magnitude of the issue.
Maybe it’s necessary maybe it’s just slightly aesthetically unpleasing.
That said it’s not rocket surgery and you can buy sheets of white filon without much difficulty.
Unsure why you’re talking about the inside unless, this is a bigger leak/rot issue than you’re letting on, or comprehend.

  • You might want to watch a video on how those walls are manufactured. Usually they are vacuum bonded and the fiberglass is very thin. I doubt you'll be able to separate the wood from the fiberglass without destroying both.
