Dinette table top repurposed.

Our solid wood dinette table top got replaced under warranty due to a defective finish coat. You could scratch the finish off with just a fingernail. Turned it into a folding table for in front of our sofa.

We were initially using a folding table that had a plastic top. It was a bit too large and didn't fit in with the interior decor. I removed the folding metal legs and reworked them a bit to use with a new wood top. Sliced up the defective top, cut it down to a better size (15 x 28") to fit next to the sofa and made the metal legs work with it. Stained the wood to match the "smart cherry" interior and gave it a few coats of varathane. Folds up easily and we put it on the bed for travelling. Looks as if it came with our TT.

  • Nice job. That's one less thing in the landfill. :)
It does look like it came from the factory.
