Had to google it to find out
Cornice - an ornamental molding around the wall of a room just below the ceiling.
So, I just looked around my RV, and I have wooden trim along the edge of ceiling and wall, so I assume these are cornices?
If that's a correct assumption, mine are basically unobtrusive and I really didn't pay any nevermind one way or the other. Any other RV I've been in, I've never noticed them sticking out, so why get rid of them?
