The OP likely has a Dometic DM2652 in his '16 Freedom Express 257 BHS, in which case it probably doesn't have a switch to turn off it's 12 vdc powered climate control heating element, despite what his fridge owner's manual suggests. If that's the case it would be worthwhile for him to add his own switch, just as I did.
