This is a great mod! I HATE having to get down in front of the oven to light the pilot ... although unlikely, even if something did go BOOM!, I'd rather the flash hit my knee than my face!:B
I have the identical stove in my FW, so I ran right out to HD and bought the electronic igniter. Since I didn't have an old grill to rob an electrode from, HD also sold replacement electrode kits and I bought one of those.
The replacement electrode has a ground wire. Is the electronic unit grounded directly to the electrode or are both grounded to the stove?
