Electronic Ignition for Stovetop (w/pics)

I completed this mod today! Although my stove mostly looked identical to the one in the pictures posted, the pilot/burner bracket was slightly different. Mine had a piece of flat metal directly under the pilot. The electrode I bought was permanently attached to a thin metal bracket, so I bent it into a "L" bracket and bolted the short leg to the flat metal. The electrode was then on the end of the long leg of the "L", which made it easy to bend it back and forth to get just the right distance between the electrode and the pilot tube. Mine comes in from the right side about even with the top of the pilot tube and about 3/16" away. If you push the igniter button and the pilot gas knob simultaneously, it lights very reliably in about two seconds!
