Homemade Macerator Pump

In all honesty, this is not really a "homemade" macerator pump… it's just an assembly of existing parts.
Anywway, I have been looking for a pump for my TC and TT for some time and have seen mixed reviews about the Sanicon and Flojet units (plus they're fairly expensive). So I picked up a SeaFlo macerator pump on Ebay for $59 and bought a Camco clear sewer fitting for $9, and then made a PVC adaptor to fit them to one another. The whole assembly is simply press-fit together. I'm using a 3/4" commercial (garden type) hose from the pump to the sewer connection.
It's working great so far!

Whats wrong with the normal 4" hose everybody uses? simple to use.

    It's a 3" hose.

With a macerator I can dump at home 80' away from my swear clean out uphill 4'.

We tailgate often and come home with full tanks.
  • I can pump 30 ft and 5 ft up hill to my sewer clean out when at home.
Also I can pump into a septic tank that is 40' distant where I camp on the east coast.
I do use the 3' hose when I find a RV dump- but they are few and far between in my travels.
